Every member of a workplace uses the restroom several times a day, and the restroom is perhaps the only place that needs to be cleaned at least once a day. That’s why it is important to make sure all employees help up-keep the bathroom or have some one coming in and professionally cleaning it. Here are some quick tips for keeping a bathroom clean and sanitary for co-workers to use.
If you are the one cleaning the bathroom do the mirrors and the shower doors first. By cleaning from top to bottom you will save steps. When cleaning the top areas, the dirt and grime will fall to the lower portions and the floor. If done first, the dirt can then be cleaned in one step when you sweep and mop the floors.
To clean the mirrors you do not need an expensive chemical cleaner. The components of a homemade cleaning solution are white vinegar, rubbing alcohol and water, and it is very effective, too. The best solution is a 1/3 cup vinegar and cup rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle, add water, shake lightly and you are ready to go. The rest is simple, just spray it all over the surface and wipe dry with a clean paper towel.
The first task is to loosen the grime and filth, so you scrub the surface with a bristle brush and score the area so the cleaning liquid can seep in. Next, spray or wipe on a concentrated orange-based commercial cleaning product. Give it about half an hour to soften and let loose the grime and soap scum before rinsing.
Apply a car wax over the newly cleaned sink. Do it every six months or so to reduce the time you spend in your cleaning chores.
Another great time saving bathroom cleaning tip for your shower stall is to wipe away all of the water after each use. This will keep the dirt and grime from building up and make weekly cleaning a breeze.
Do the toilet, sink and faucets only after you are finished with the mirrors and everything else. White vinegar is an Eco- friendly and effective cleaner for these jobs. Just do the usual process of applying the solution on all the surfaces to be cleaned and give it time take effect. Thereafter, you can then rinse and dry all the affected surfaces.
There are many simple and easy things that can be done to ease the burden of the otherwise difficult job of cleaning the restroom yourself, like keeping the metal faucets spick-and-span. This tips can be helpful when having to keep a restroom tidy and sanitary until your commercial cleaners can come and take care of it for you. Also if you don’t have a commercial cleaning service for your office yet.
